We hold personal data to enable us to fulfil our contractual commitments to existing customers and end user homeowners or landlords. This allows us to deliver the highest level of customer service. We also hold data in the Legitimate Interest of maintaining our business cornerstone of only selling our products to Gas Safe Registered businesses.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) to a jurisdiction which may not require the same level of protection as in the UK. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, holding your personal data, the fulfilment of an order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. Retention of data

We will only retain your data to allow us to fulfil any contractual commitment and to meet any requirements for data retention for HMRC and other government reporting requirements. For delivering warranty support on products, we will retain household information for the full working life of the boiler to allow us to monitor breakdown statistics and to allow us to improve our future product offering and identify quality issues. This is necessary as we give a lifetime guarantee on our primary heat exchanger.

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties but only where this is absolutely necessary:

To perform service or warranty call outs or repairs we may disclose some of your personal information to a third party service agent. The use of your data will be restricted to the performance of their duties under our contract.

If we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

If ATAG Heating Technology UK Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.

If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ATAG Heating Technology UK Limited, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and the prevention of crime.

Data on our customers and end user householders or landlords will not be shared with any third party extended warranty service.
